Your Symptoms

Sharp Pain – Indicates inflammation. This can occur on tendons, bursas or indeed the joint itself.

Ache – Often originates from muscular problems, tightness or overuse.

Restricted Movement – Can occur due to the joint itself, or the muscles that spasm in protection.

Numbness and Tingling (Paraesthesias) – Indicates nerve involvement

Weakness – This can occur secondary to pain, trauma or nerve damage. It is often a more involved symptom, and needs really to be examined to determine the cause.

Arm pain – May be referred pain from neck muscles or nerves from the neck down your arm.

Headaches – Frequently originate from nerve irritation in the neck.

Dizziness – May often originate from neck problems and is called “cervicogenic dizziness”.
