What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic treatment involves safe, specific manipulation to free up joints of the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. If the vertebrae, making up the spine, lose their normal range of motion, they can cause irritation to the delicate nerves that control the body’s movements and sensation. You may then experience pains, aches, tingling, stiffness etc. Chiropractors are trained to locate these areas of dysfunction and correct them to promote optimal functioning of your spine and other joints.
All patients are different and therefore a variety of techniques are required. These include spinal manipulation, dry needling, massage and mobilisation.

What do we treat?

Problems that may be relieved by Chiropractic include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, sports injuries and problems with the hips, knees, feet, ankles, elbows, wrists and hands. Problems in the spine and those areas related to it can occur through a variety of causes, which we will help identify.
